Zoo Train Oil painting 28 x 36 NA Private Collection As I passed through an overpass, I saw the most spectacular view of a train with the word “zoo” and trees, fences, and road signs. I too a series of photos as well as some drawings and created this painting later. |

Electric Calligraphy… from Sanibel Enhanced monotype 28 x 34 Inspired by the vines growing out of water along the road in Sanibel, Florida. I was intrigued by the overgrowth and labyrinthine quality. What was beyond? Haunted by the impression of this when I got back to my studio on Cape Cod I had to explore the gestural equivalent of this feeling. A number of paintings, drawings and prints were generated. This is one of them. When I worked on the gestural equivalent with color I was happy with the colors that bounced off one another that to me were electric. |
